1. I woke up to 3 drunk posts on my flist this morning. I feel vaguely as though I have failed LJ by not doing the same, and I was even out drinking with fangirls last night. SORRY.

2. Things learned from Wilby Wonderful: face touching = Canadian first base.

3. Fun-running (it's like running but BETTER) across the street right before the light changes while rageprufrock and leupagus are shrieking behind you = still funny.

4. volsi is awesome and is going to help me paint my room this morning. I am making her strawberry banana french toast as a thank-you.

5. After which I will go see Julie & Julia with miripanda, and then we're going to come back here and watch Merlin.

In conclusion, good weekend all around. How are you guys?

The awesomest, most sparkly part of my weekend was the ontd_startrek New York fangirl meetup on Saturday organized by ink_n_imp. I'd only seen the movie once and lurked around the comm a bit (which is basically the bestest, most hilarious, most wank-free comm EVER y/y?), but I decided to go anyway. Also I am helpless to resist the prospect of fangirls and drinking.

So yes, drinking, followed by Star Trek, followed by more drinking. Lots of ontd_startrek shenanigans. (It's possible that there might be video footage of me reading a few macros. I can neither confirm nor deny this, but SOMEONE HAD TO READ UHURA, K?)

It was lovely to see leupagus and rageprufrock and ink_n_imp again, and also to meet more awesome people like saburi and ayalesca and sparkly_stuff and stepliana a bunch of others whose names and lj handles I'm still putting together.

ras_elased and bekkis are both awesome for being great roomies, i.e. the kind who don't snore and/or kick me in their sleep. (I'M A LIGHT SLEEPER PEOPLE THIS IS IMPORTANT.) Seriously though, ignore my self-involved blathering- it was lovely to meet both of you! <3

libitina is awesome for getting there before me so I didn't have to awkwardly hang in the lobby by myself on Friday, and for taking me to an awesome Tapas restaurant. Also, can we nominate her for Fangirl Sainthood for cleaning up the con suite on Sunday?

ocelotspots is awesome for being a fast walker who walks fast like me. :)

puckling is awesome for reading porn while sober. (How do you do that?) Also, I feel like she would have been good to have around if we had been busted by security.

Speaking of which, the security staff of the Courtyard Marriott are awesome for not kicking us out onto the streets of Philly. But honestly they also fail at their jobs for lo we were loud and obnoxious.

cherrybina is awesome for being a doll and the alcohol fairy and having a king-sized bed in her hotel room.

leupagus and rageprufrock are awesome for many things, the least of which is living in New York and giving me a ride home.
